Ebbway

Get back before the tide turns. Tell Ebbway when you must be back at the airport or station, plus your usual way back and a backup. It shows the moment your backup stops covering you — and the last moment either one works.

Built from a near miss

A two-hour connection in Spain, a train into town to see a friend, and on the way back the fastest line wasn't running because of a strike. The timing had been fine. What was missing was a second way back, and knowing when it stopped being enough. Ebbway is for anyone who leaves the airport, the hotel or the station with a hard departure still ahead.

Clear

You'd make it even if Plan A fails and you switch to Plan B.

Trust

You'd make it only if Plan A actually runs. No safety net.

Closed

Past the last call by the numbers you entered.

What it does

Two ways back, three zones

Ride time and the longest wait for each path, the time it takes to notice Plan A is down, your own margin. Ebbway turns them into two points of no return.

Probe the causeway

Drag along the strip to test any departure time and see when you'd reach the hub by each path, with minutes to spare or minutes late.

Return Guard

A Live Activity on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island counts down to the end of your insured time and to the last call. One tap for “Heading back”.

Rain and holidays

If rain is forecast for your way back, or it's a public holiday and trains run a Sunday timetable, the zones shift — and Ebbway tells you by how many minutes.

Works offline, no account

The calculation runs on your iPhone. Weather and holidays are optional extras when there's a connection.

On the phone

Ebbway's Now screen: a Vancouver window with the causeway strip and Return Guard counting down 2 hours of insured time. A window in Ebbway with a probe at 15:35: in the Trust zone, Plan A arrives with 17 minutes to spare, Plan B would be 9 minutes late. Ebbway's window builder: Plan A set to train, 25 minutes on a dial.

Privacy, briefly

  • No account, no ads, no tracking. Your windows stay on your iPhone.
  • Only a city name or rounded coordinates go to the weather service, and only a country code and year to the holiday service.
  • Push notifications go through OneSignal, which keeps a device identifier so it can deliver them. You can turn them off at any time.
